Resurface Group offers a unique, life-based approach to care for mental health obstacles, substance use disorders, addiction, behavioral challenges, and family system issues. Their experienced team is highly relational, spending time with clients in real-life settings to treat the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

We worked closely with Resurface Group to create a brand that reflects their commitment to personalized, life-based care and their unique approach to treating the whole person. It was important that the brand elements captured the symbolism behind their name, Resurface. To bring this concept to life, I used sumi ink—a beautiful, rich ink made from soot—to paint an abstract texture resembling both ocean waves and the growth rings of a tree stump. This visual metaphor reinforced the idea of transformation, resilience, and renewal. I then carried these organic forms into a custom brand icon, integrating it into select logo marks to further connect the identity to Resurface Group’s mission.

Strategic details were crafted to be symbolic of the meaning and history of their brand, enhancing their identity and reinforcing their mission.
